What We Do
The Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) is a private, nonprofit, community economic development corporation, which was founded in 1981. CEDC’s activities are focused on low income, minority, and other disadvantaged people and their organizations in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
Today, CEDC is proud to be the largest developer of affordable homes in Ventura County. The success of CEDC is the result of decades of passion, dedication and vision. We believe that every person has a right to decent, safe and affordable homes to live in – truly a cornerstone of any community’s economic, environmental and social well-being. For the people who work with and for CEDC, this commitment comes from a deep, personal desire to make the world a better place to live. As housing costs continue to escalate relative to the economy, this calling is greater than ever before.
