The Rodney Fernandez Gardens apartments is an affordable apartment community serving eligible farm workers and low income families.  The property was placed in service in 2011 and is comprised of 90, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The two-story, walk-up style buildings enclose a large recreational play area for a diverse age of children, a thriving community garden, community room and manager's office. 

The Rodney Fernandez Gardens Apartments are named after our former Executive Director and founder of Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation. Mr. Fernandez’s vision and fearless commitment to building safe and affordable housing for the county’s low-income community has resulted in the creation of more than 1,634 affordable rental apartments and single family homes.
