PACT Teen Clothing Closet gets media attention

PACT program radio interview

Did you know that the average American throws away 68 pounds of clothing per year taking decades to decompose in landfills? Don't throw away your old clothing! Be "green" and help a good cause at the same time by donating your old clothing to PACT -- Providing Accessible Clothing to Teens. The PACT Project is a free clothing closet serving low-income, farmworker and other youth in need, to help increase their self-esteem. PACT is a program that is getting leadership assistance from CEDC's Community Building and Neighborhood Revitalization (CBNR) team.

Read the recent NeighborWorks' blog about the project here.

PACT has officially found a new home at Fillmore High School. Read more about it on the PACT website here.

PACT was recently featured on Ventura's Cumulus Radio stations. Here is a photo of the recording session. That's radio host Nancy Rodriguez on the left from Cumulus Broadcasting. Joining her were Juliana Gallardo, CEDC Community Builder; Patty Suarez of the PACT youth leadership team; and Monica Campos, a CEDC resident manager at Fillmore Central Station.
