NeighborWorks Week 2015 was a great success!

Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation (CEDC) celebrated the annual NeighborWorks® Week during the week of June 7.

This event was part of National NeighborWorks® Week (NWW), organized by NeighborWorks® America (http://www.neighborworks.org), a national intermediary that provides funding and technical assistance to Community Development Corporations (CDCs) across the country. CEDC is the only NeighborWorks-certified community development organization in Ventura County. During the week of June 7, neighborhoods across the country joined to embark on projects to revitalize their neighborhoods. Since 1998, CEDC has been a proud member of the NeighborWorks® network (www.nw.org). This is the 14th consecutive year that CEDC has participated in NWW.

This year, we hosted four workshops, two Financial Wellness and two Homeownership Workshops at four of CEDC’s affordable home communities which took take place on June 8^th, June 9^th, June 10^th, and June 11^th. 

The workshops focused on topics relevant to individuals’ financial situation emphasizing financial capability, credit, banking (for unbanked and underbanked individuals), and homebuyer preparedness.
