CECD’s Real Estate Development and Construction Division has built or rehabilitated 34 affordable home projects, including more than 1,375 rental and for-sale homes, opening the doors to affordable, quality housing throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.

From award-winning architectural designs and community-inspired urban planning to lush landscaping and inviting living spaces, our highly skilled team of project managers and construction specialists ensures that every project detail reflects the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. We oversee the planning, entitlement and development stages of every project in-house, and serve as the general contractor to control costs, quality and efficiency.

From 1981 to today, CEDC has continued to increase the total number of affordable single-family and multi-family homes available to individuals and families.

Today, Ventura and Santa Barbara county residents are faced with a tremendous need for quality, affordable homes. Through successful building, construction and rehabilitation efforts, CEDC creates new home ownership and rental opportunities for individuals and families, including teachers, artists, farm workers, individuals with special needs and senior citizens.
